Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Programme Leader - Global Leadership and Development within UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

The postholder will serve as the Programme Leader for our existing Global Leadership Programme (GLP) for all Masters students and Leadership Development Programme (LDP) for MBA students at the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. UCD College of Business is Ireland's leading business school and research centre.

UCD College of Business consists of UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business (`the Quinn School') focused on undergraduate education, UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business (`the Smurfit School') focused on postgraduate education, UCD Smurfit Executive Development (`Executive Development') and UCD Business International.

As a globally-connected, research intensive Business School with its home in the dynamic European Capital of Dublin the mission of the UCD College of Business is to actively inspire and co-create a better future for our students, our staff, our alumni and for business and society in Ireland and the world. We seek to empower, develop and inspire the next generation of business leaders with the technical knowledge, critical thinking skills, global perspective, soft skills and confidence to achieve their full potential and position them to thrive, innovate, and lead responsibly with purpose.

Drawing on Ireland's location as a gateway to Europe, and home to many of the world's leading multinational organisations we seek to ensure that our graduates are informed, agile, critical thinkers, who are strongly grounded in discipline expertise and are business and societally aware. We seek to prepare our students for careers in a rapidly changing world and provide them with the skills needed for future self-directed learning.

Our core values within the UCD College of Business are ambition (with purpose to have positive impact), creativity, excellence, integrity, and community. UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business is Ireland's leading provider of graduate business education. For more than 20 years the UCD College of Business has held the triple crown of accreditation from AACSB (US), EQUIS (Europe) and AMBA (UK).

One of the keystones of the College's reputation as one of the world's leading business schools is the quality and expertise of our faculty. Consistently highly ranked amongst the global-leading business schools in the Financial Times' competitive global rankings, the College is currently ranked 28th in the Financial Times European Business Schools ranking. It is the only Irish member of the leading business school alliances, the Global Alliance in Management Education (CEMS) and the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) and offers a world-class range of Master of Science and Master of Business Administration programmes to highly qualified students.

Building on its success to date, an ambitious five-year strategy (2022-2026) has been developed for the UCD College of Business and the UCD Smurfit School which emphasises a transformational learning and development environment to prepare our students for careers in a rapidly changing world, so they may embrace change and be resilient and versatile in addressing the Sustainable Development Goals and Environmental Social and Governance agendas.

A critical and innovative element of our transformational educational environment is the provision of an integrated series of `stretch' development opportunities beyond the classroom through our bespoke Global Leadership Programme (GLP) for MSc students and Leadership Development Programme (LDP) for MBA students.

The GLP and LDP prepare our graduates to lead with impact, in a global environment, reinforcing their personal skills, employability, and also adding value for prospective employers. These programmes link with the wider `UCD Advantage' awards. To support this new strategy UCD College of Business now wishes to recruit a Programme Leader for our Global Leadership Programmes.

The successful candidate will be expected to actively lead the future development of the programme, having responsibility for development / delivery of relevant content. As Programme Leader the appointee will play a key role in delivering the objectives of the UCD Smurfit School strategy, working closely and collegially with the Associate Dean and Director of the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, the Programme Directors and Managers of each MBA and MSc programme and all staff and faculty of the School.
