Permanent Whole Time Post
UCC wishes to appoint an inspirational scholar to the post of Professor of Social Work within the School of Applied Social Studies. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of social work and social science in UCC by providing dynamic, outward-looking and collegiate leadership to support the evolution and accreditation of social work education.
The appointee will engage in research and grant capture, foster publicly engaged scholarship, develop research capacity in the school and contribute to student supervision. They will undertake a range of academic leadership responsibilities at school, college and university level and carry out other duties appropriate to the post under the general direction of the Head of the School of Applied Social Studies.

Appointment may be made on the Professor (Scale 2) Salary Scale: €109,602 - €128,722 (Scale B) / €104,122 - €122,287 (Scale A)
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy***.***
