UCC wishes to appoint an inspirational scholar of international standing to a Professorship(SCALE 2) within the School of Education in the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity for leadership in a vibrant community of active researchers and full-time post-graduate masters and PhD students. One of the most well-established and research-active in the country, UCC’s School of Education is highly regarded for the quality of its courses and the depth of its scholarship.
Reporting to the Head of School, the Professor will be expected to provide leadership and support for the School’s research and teaching activities. The appointee will have an extensive track record of scholarship in the field of Early Years and Childhood Studies, and the capacity to provide strong academic leadership as well as the skills to develop new initiatives for the promotion and co-ordination of teaching and research across the School.

Appointment may be made on the Professor (Scale 2) Salary Scale: €111,794- €131,296 (Scale B) / €106,204 - €124,733 (Scale A)
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy***.***
