The Role

We are seeking a full-time post-doctoral researcher for 12 months in the Department of Biology at Maynooth University (https://www.maynoothuniversity.ie/biology ). The department and research group offer excellent research conditions with state-of-the-art infrastructure in a highly dynamic and collegial environment. The project is collaborative in nature working together with Alltech. My research group investigates antibiotic resistance from a One Health perspective. Together with Alltech we are seeking ways to minimize the burden of antimicrobial resistance on the animal health sector and ensure animal health without the use of antimicrobials. This project will analyze large metagenomic datasets and is an applied bioinformatics project.
