Position Summary

Applications are invited for a full-time postdoctoral researcher position funded by Science Foundation Ireland. The successful candidate will undertake taphonomic experiments to resolve key questions regarding the diagenesis and preservation of melanin in vertebrates.  Key analytical techniques will include some of the following: synchrotron-XRF, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, AHPO-LCMS, NMR, S-XANES.  In addition to research, the successful candidate will have opportunities to undertake postdoctoral training in transferable skills and to participate in fieldwork. There may be opportunities to gain Mentorship or Teaching/Supervision experience under the supervision of the PI.

The successful candidate will work closely with the PI and other members of the team.

Post Duration: 12 Months

Salary: €42,031 - €48,427 p.a. (IUA PD1 Salary Scale)
