Applications are invited for a temporary post of a NexSys Reporting Administrator within School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.Context:NexSys - "Next Generation Energy Systems"

The decarbonisation of the Energy System will play a vital role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and help mitigate the impacts of Climate Change. The technical and societal challenges inherent in decarbonisation are set to be enduring challenges of the mid-21st Century and ones that will require a whole of society approach, encompassing academia, industry, government, and citizens. NexSys is an all island SFI Strategic Partnership Programme focussed upon the transition to a net zero carbon energy system. It is a unique partnership bringing together a multidisciplinary research team, industry, and policy makers to tackle fundamental research questions to be addressed as part of the transition to net zero.

Hosted by UCD Energy Institute, NexSys brings together academics from nine institutions across the Island of Ireland (UCD, TCD, DCU, ESRI, Maynooth University, UCC, NUI Galway, Ulster University and Queen's University Belfast) to work together to meet the unprecedented scale and complexity of the challenges associated with the energy transition. The Programme comprises of `Hub' and `Targeted' projects, with fundamental and applied research of the highest academic standards.

The Role:

The Reporting Administrator role in NexSys fulfils an important purpose in the programme's overall accountability and smooth operation. The role holder will develop a programme of reporting on key research and performance deliverables, milestones and outputs for NexSys. Working closely with the Finance and Reporting Manager and Education and Public Engagement Officer, the role holder will ensure NexSys reporting data and governance is appropriately managed and communicated. Cyclical reporting for this SFI Strategic Partnership Programme is through SESAME (online reporting system) and through NexSys governance.

This role is an opportunity for a purpose-driven data and reporting professional to be part of an ambitious programme towards a sustainable future. The successful candidate will be organised, a team player, self-motivated, and have an attention to priorities and detail. Operating in a core Operations Team, the role holder will make an important impact through their activities and contribution to the culture and ongoing development of NexSys. Salary Range: 46,000 - 56,000 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
