Lecturer or Assistant Professor in Food Science & Nutrition

Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer / Assistant Professor within the Food Science and Nutrition Section of the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science. The successful post holder will contribute to teaching, research and administrative roles in the Section. The appointee will complement the activities of the Section in interests and skills.

The post holder will contribute to teaching principally in the area of Meat Science on the BSc (Food Science) and MSc (Food, Nutrition and Health) programmes but will also contribute to teaching on other programmes. The successful candidate will be required to supervise postgraduate students and manage existing research projects in the Meat Science area as well as developing further research initiatives. They will work collaboratively with colleagues in the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science and UCD Institute of Food and Health and will represent UCD nationally and internationally. Preference will be given to applicants who are highly motivated with a proven track record in research and a good publication record.

Lecturer/Asst Professor Above the Bar Salary Scale: €55,397 - € 87,724 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
