UCD invites applications for two temporary Lecturer/Assistant Professors (Above the Bar) in Physics.
Each successful candidate will be expected to deliver and coordinate modules in the areas of Physics, and/or Physics with Astronomy and Space Science. The post holders will coordinate and deliver elements of the taught MSc programme `Space Science and Technology’ and provide laboratory, Python instruction, field trip and project expertise for undergraduate/taught Masters’ students. S/he will be expected to play a full part in the academic life of the school.
Each successful candidate will also be expected to perform research which complements existing research activities in the School, leading to the publication of high-quality peer-reviewed papers. The candidate will also be expected to co-supervise graduate students at both M.Sc. and Ph.D. level within the School.
IMP. NOTE: Interviews will take place in mid-August 2022, and successful candidate(s) will ideally commence in Sept. 2022; or shortly thereafter.
95 Lecturer / Assistant Professor (above the bar) Salary Scale: €55,951- €88,601per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guideline
