Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Social Policy within UCD School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice.

The UCD School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Social Policy. We welcome applicants with a PhD in social policy or a cognate social science discipline (e.g. sociology, political science, economics, public administration) and a record of research and teaching in this field.

We are seeking candidates who can make a significant contribution in any core area of social policy research and teaching, such as, but not limited to: social policy and inequality, labour market policy, social policy in developing countries, family policy, and European/global social policy. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to social policy teaching on the Bachelor of Social Science (BSocSc) degree and other interdisciplinary teaching, including the Master's in Public Policy, across the School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice. S/he will also undertake social policy research, knowledge generation and dissemination of research, seek outside research funding, and carry out administrative functions as identified by the Head of School.

95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Below The Bar Salary scale: 37,166 - 64,717 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
