Applications are invited for a Part Time 0.41 FTE Temporary 24 month post, of an ITN Research Project Manager within School of Agriculture and Food Science.

The EUROVA European Training Network, funded by the European Commission under the Marie Skłodowska Curie actions, is a multi-disciplinary project in the field of oocyte biology. The aim of EUROVA is to consolidate European Oocyte Biology expertise to train a cohort of 15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) and generate new knowledge in this field. Our ESRs work on projects ranging from the safe storage and re-transplantation of ovarian tissue from female cancer patients, identifying therapies to improve the quality of oocytes from patients who suffer from metabolic conditions, adapting (ART) to save the Northern White Rhinoceros from extinction and building a multi-species compendium of the molecular pathways and key processes involved in oocyte growth and development. EUROVA Beneficiaries and Partners work in the Academic, Human Healthcare, Animal Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Information Technology, Design Engineering, Platform and Product Engineering, Agricultural and Environmental Sectors. Synergistic research and training programmes and the incorporation of carefully planned secondments offered by this highly qualified network of international research-intensive academic and industrial organisations provide a unique and highly innovative training programme for our ESRs.

EUROVA is coordinated by University College Dublin and is composed of 10 research clusters (beneficiaries) and 7 partner organisations. The successful candidate will work directly with the project coordinator of the network, Prof. Trudee Fair, in the Reproductive Physiology Laboratory at the School of Agriculture and Food Science, University College Dublin, in Ireland (http://www.ucd.ie/agfood/ ). The project manager will be primarily responsible for the administrative coordination, organizational and selected scientific aspects of the network together with the project coordinator. Close interactions with the participating partner institutions will be required.

Salary Range: €40,000- €50,000 per annum pro-rata

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
