The School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin is a collegiate, friendly, and research-intensive centre for academic study and research excellence. The School has been ranked #1 in Ireland, top 25 in Europe, and top 100 Worldwide (QS Subject Rankings 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021).

The School has successfully secured funding under the HEA Human Capital Initiative, Pillar 3, to develop a new Online Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Statistics and Data Science. The School of Computer Science and Statistics is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Statistics on a two year, fixed-term contract. The purpose of the post is to assist with the development and delivery of the Online HCI Postgraduate Certificate in Statistics and Data Science, to meet the needs of the identified stakeholders in the target learner cohort. The employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as this employment is for the purpose stated above. If the sustainability of the programme is viable beyond the term of the contract, any resulting post will be filled by open competition.
