Applications are invited for a 12 months (Part Time) 0.6 FTE post of a General Practitioner within UCD School of Medicine.

The General Practitioners in the Coombe Family Practice, Rialto, Dublin 8 provide daily clinical care to about 6,000 patients through a full range of general practice services.

The practice has nine general practitioners, a practice nurse and a full complement of administrative staff, and has five GMS lists. Special areas of clinical interest include women’s health, contraceptive services, addiction and mental health, chronic disease management, preventative medicine, emergency care provision and the care of elderly patients.

The practice also operates shared care services in areas such as diabetes, antenatal care and methadone maintenance. Through the South Inner City of Dublin Partnership in Primary Care, the practice has direct access to physiotherapy services, dietetics, wound dressing and diagnostic imaging.

As part of the UCD School of Medicine, the practice is also actively involved in teaching and research, with a GP Trainee, Intern doctor and regular medical students on placement.

Fixed Salary: €105,298 per annum pro rata (0.6 FTE)

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
