We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Educational Technology Officer to join the Maynooth University Centre for Teaching and Learning. The Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team is situated within the Centre for Teaching and Learning and works to promote, support, and develop good practice and innovation in technology enhanced learning across the institution.

The Educational Technology Officer will play a key role in supporting and promoting the use of the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and learning technologies across the University, in partnership with relevant stakeholders. The post-holder will also contribute to staff professional development initiatives, including CTL programmes, workshops and projects. Reporting to the Head of the Centre for Teaching and Learning, the postholder will work closely with the Head of CTL, TEL team and wider CTL and Office of the Dean of Teaching and Learning colleagues.

Applicants will hold a primary degree in Education, Multimedia or related discipline with a minimum of one year professional experience in teaching and learning in higher education or in a related eLearning/digital learning field. The post-holder will have experience of virtual learning environments, of a range of learning technologies, developing online learning resources, and in supporting staff in the design of blended and online courses. They will also have experience in delivering professional development workshops in digital teaching and learning to staff.

Administrative Officer II                               €41,317 – €59,152 p.a. (9 points)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions
