The Role 

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic eLearning Development Officer to join the Maynooth University Centre for Teaching and Learning. The Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team is situated within the Centre for Teaching and Learning and works to promote, support, and develop good practice and innovation in technology enhanced learning across the institution.

The eLearning Development Officer will report to the Head of the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and will work closely with the Head, the TEL team and the wider CTL and Office of the Dean of Teaching and Learning (ODTL) teams. The postholder will lead a range of TEL services and projects to support and develop the University digital learning environment and to develop staff capability in technology enhanced learning (TEL) in a range teaching and learning contexts.

The person will have experience of managing, administering, and supporting virtual learning environments and learning technologies, be accomplished at designing and delivering professional opportunities for staff, and have proven expertise in the learning design and development of blended and online programmes or have experience in supporting programme teams in this area. The role will require excellent project management and communication skills, together with the ability to work in partnership with colleagues and staff, an interest in developing others, and a commitment to building confidence and trust with staff.

Administrative Officer I (2022) Salary Scale:                                € 51,170 – € 73,009 p.a. (9 points)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
