The School of Linguistic, Speech and Communication Sciences at Trinity College Dublin seeks applications from qualified candidates with an international research and teaching record for the post of Assistant Professor in Linguistics. The post-holder will join an experienced team of applied and theoretical linguists based in the School’s Centre for Language and Communication Studies (CLCS).

The post-holder will contribute to the growth of a world-class research and teaching programme in Linguistics within CLCS, the School and at Trinity College Dublin. The post-holder will bring a track record of third-level teaching, research and engagement to leverage existing expertise.

It is essential that the successful candidate is an active researcher with a record of peer-reviewed publications, experience of third-level teaching and assessment, and potential to recruit and supervise postgraduate students as well as to seek external funding opportunities. The successful candidate will engage in research and dissemination initiatives at a national and international level.

Post Title: Assistant Professor in Linguistics

Post status: 5 Year Fixed Term, Tenure Track
