Description of Post
This post relates primarily to the teaching of Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Science including specialist areas of Diagnostics and Therapeutics within the Department of Life Sciences.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake lecturing and associated duties (on-site and online) pertaining to a range of modules up to and including Level 9 within the Faculty, with special emphasis on Pharmaceutical Science, Biopharmaceutical Science, Diagnostics and Therapeutics, and related areas.
Essential Qualifications
- Candidates must possess as a minimum a primary degree at 1st or 2nd class honours level, or equivalent, in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biopharmaceutical Science, Chemical/Molecular Engineering, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline.
And
- Applicants must have a minimum of three years relevant post-qualification experience, including a working knowledge of industrial and medical/veterinary Diagnostics and Therapeutics.
Salary
The salary scale attached to this post is €41,082 to €56,162 (10 points)
*Candidates may be appointed up to the 6th point (€50,365) of the salary scale for previous relevant industry experience in accordance with ATU Policy*
