The Role

In its current strategic plan, the University has set ambitious goals for postgraduate education, and the position of Admissions Support Officer will support the Dean of Graduate Studies and Postgraduate Admissions Officer in the achievement of these goals through the delivery of an efficient and responsive application management system, and the implementation of effective admissions procedures and processes in support of these goals.

Applications are invited for a permanent appointment as Admissions Support Officer within the Postgraduate and Non-CAO Admissions team in the Graduate Studies Office.  Reporting to the Postgraduate Admissions Officer, the person appointed will assume responsibility for the management and expansion of the delegated authority function in relation to Postgraduate and Non-CAO admissions, will work with the Postgraduate and Non-CAO Admissions team to plan and deliver enhancements to the applicant experience, and to administrative processes as appropriate. They will oversee the day-to-day operations management of the admission process, working closely with colleagues in Graduate Studies, and with professional and academic staff across the university in developing and implementing admissions processes to maximise efficiency while upholding university entry requirements. The post-holder will have a leadership role within the admissions function and will contribute to other tasks within the office as required.  The successful candidate will be organised and logical, with an ability to develop and manage detailed processes.

Administrative Officer Grade II (2022) Salary Scale:                 €39,628 – €56,860 per annum (9 points)

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.
