Position Details:


Summary of Duties: 
A postdoctoral fellow position is available in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Washington State University Spokane with Dr. Boyang (Jason) Wu. The research will be focused on molecular/cellular and preclinical studies on 1) understanding of androgenic and neural signaling and their contributions to therapy resistance and lineage plasticity in advanced prostate cancer, and 2) characterizing the microenvironmental effect on prostate cancer growth, progression, metastasis and response to antiandrogen and immuno- therapies. Required Qualifications 


  • Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. degree in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, with a proven track record of creativity and productivity.  

  • Candidates are expected to be self-motivated and have strong oral/written communication skills. 


Preferred Qualifications: 


  • Previous experience with xenograft mouse models of human cancers, especially prostate cancer, bioinformatic data mining, and cancer immunology, is highly desired.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
