Job Description:
Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow for the DRDO Funded Project in the School of Mechanical Engineering (Project ID: No. ERIP/ER/202308005/M/01/1842), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).
Title of the Project:
“Development of a low heat-input welding technique for armor steel joints to enhance high cycle fatigue behavior by suppressing softening of the heat- affected zone.”.
Qualification:
M. Tech / M.E, B.Tech / B.E in Metallurgical Engineering /Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering/Welding Engineering / CAD/CAM or a related field with two years’ experience
Desirable (if any):
Preference will be given for the gate qualified candidate. Candidates have Strong skills in the area of materials characterization.
Stipend:
- Rs. 37,000/ + 9 %HRA - per month (First and Second years) for the Gate Qualified Candidate.
- Rs. 42,000/- + 9 % HRA – Per month (Third year) as Senior Research fellow for the Gate Qualified Candidate.
- Others will be paid as per the institute norms.
