Erasmus Office is a part of the Academic Cooperation and Research Support Office at Central European University. They are responsible for managing all Erasmus related activities at CEU, be it incoming Erasmus students, or CEU students applying for Erasmus credit mobility possibilities.

Erasmus Office is seeking a Junior Coordinator to contribute to the successful implementation of a range of mobility opportunities that will benefit individual students, faculty and staff members from CEU and its partner institutions. The position is for one year with a possibility for extension, starting in November 2022, it is based in Vienna with an Austrian employment contract.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing support to preparation of Erasmus inter-institutional agreements based on negotiations with CEU departments and partner universities;
  • Advertising calls for applications for Erasmus+ Mobility Grant opportunities to CEU community, collecting applications, managing the evaluation process;
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for the Erasmus+ Mobility Program for incoming or outgoing grantees at CEU, liaising with staff involved in the management of the program at CEU and at other partner universities; supporting preparation of individual grant contracts;
  • Maintaining mobility databases and program records, including program-related documentation and correspondence, records of relevant meetings, and communications with partners;
  • Attending Erasmus program-related online and offline events, info-sessions, meetings, conferences in Austria and abroad;
  • Organizing information events, meetings, training and staff visits related to the Erasmus+ Mobility Program at CEU;

Qualifications and Skills:

  • University degree (Bachelor’s or higher);
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; intermediate German is a plus;
  • Previous experience in higher education administration or experience in working in an international and multi-cultural environment;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, management of databases and use of social media;
  • Experience in using SAP is an advantage;
  • Ability to administer long-term assignments, work independently and as a part of a team;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds with kindness and patience.

Compensation

We offer a gross annual salary of 40,000 EUR commensurate with experience as well as a dynamic and international academic environment. The initial contract is for one year with the possibility of renewal.
