The Human Resources Office (HRO) at Central European University invites applications for a HR generalist position.

 

As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of HR services to our staff and faculty members, including creating employment contracts, providing guidance and support to employees HR-related queries, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and holds a relevant qualification.

 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Create employment contracts, offer letters, and other HR-related agreements such as salary adjustments, promotion letters and employment certificates
  • Act as a trusted advisor to assigned departments by providing advice and guidance on HR-related queries while ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations
  • Guide and support staff and faculty on HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations for change
  • Initiate and participate in HR Projects (e.g. updating/developing HR policies, offboarding… )
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting

 

Your skills and experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR Generalist role
  • Strong knowledge of Austrian labor laws and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures
  • Experience with HRIS systems and reporting
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field

We offer a competitive salary starting from gross 44,000 EUR/year. A higher salary is possible if warranted by the candidate’s working experience.
