About the position:

The Graduate Mobility Program Coordinator supports the work of ACRO, in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Open Society University Network (OSUN), based at Central European University (CEU), in the design, planning, administration, and assessment of OSUN-wide and CEU’s graduate mobility initiatives. The successful candidate will develop a deep familiarity with the resources and priorities of the OSUN network and contribute to the design and successful implementation of the range of mobility opportunities that will benefit the individual students and OSUN institutions, including CEU. The position is Vienna-based with an Austrian employment contract.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Acting as a contact  person for Graduate Mobilities for the Program Leads at CEU, OSUN, OSUN Student Mobility Working Group, and the OSUN Secretariat;
  • Liaising with relevant staff at other OSUN partner universities on matters of program planning and implementation;
  • Assisting in the formulation and preparation of graduate mobility partnership agreements and their renewals;
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for the graduate mobility grantees at CEU and relevant CEU units related to the grantees’ organizational needs.
  • Organization of information for events, meetings, training, and staff visits related to the graduate mobility program at CEU and OSUN-wide;
  • Organization and administration of the annual Call for Applications and interim program calls;
  • Providing training and support to potential graduate student applicants;
  • Administration of grant contracts, finances, and payments related to OSUN Graduate Mobilities, and administration of and reporting on OSUN funding;
  • Organization and maintenance of program records, including program-related documentation and correspondence, records of relevant meetings, and communications with partners;
  • Organization and maintenance of the OSUN-wide graduate mobility databases.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • University degree (Bachelor’s or higher);
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
  • At least three years of experience in administering international higher education exchange and mobility projects; or other relevant work experience in university administration;
  • Experience supporting senior executives, preferably in higher education, non-profit or private sector organization (experience in an international work environment is preferred);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, management of databases, and use of social media;
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage;
  • Good understanding of principles and policies on privacy and data protection and maintenance, GDPR compliance;
  • Ability to administer long-term assignments, work independently and as a part of a geographically scattered team;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds; gender and cultural awareness and sensitivity.

 

Compensation

The initial contract is for one year with a salary of 43,000 EUR/year, with the possibility of renewal for an indefinite contract based on identifiable success.
