The preferred start date is January 2023, but the position is considered open until filled, and the start date is negotiable. Compensation and benefits are highly competitive within Europe.

We are seeking candidates with a Ph.D. degree in Entrepreneurship, Management, or a related field and a track record of publications in high quality journals within the field of Entrepreneurship. The ideal applicant should also demonstrate teaching excellence in graduate and undergraduate education (especially at the MBA level) and have experience supervising Ph.D. students.

The successful candidate will enjoy interdisciplinary research and teaching. Although the area of research focus is open, we particularly value candidates whose research aligns with the mission of the university and is of interest to faculty both in and outside of the Economics and Business department (e.g., social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship in underserved populations, entrepreneurial finance, sustainable entrepreneurship, the life cycle of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurs as leaders, family businesses). Applications from candidates with expertise in social entrepreneurship are particularly welcome.

Teaching obligations will include Entrepreneurship courses and related courses in CEU’s undergraduate, Executive MBA, and PhD programs. The successful candidate will also be ready, in the mid-term, to take on administrative positions such as leadership of a degree program.

Compensation
We offer a competitive yearly gross salary of 60-80,000 EUR, commensurate with experience as well as additional benefits (e.g. pension plan). The initial contract is for 4 or 6 years depending on the rank. The contracts are then renewable and can be made indefinite, depending on performance.
