Central European University (CEU) is seeking a senior communications and marketing professional to join our growing Communications, Marketing and Outreach team. 

 

The primary role of the Digital Communications, Marketing and Content Manager is to build and enhance CEU’s profile across all external channels and to optimize its student recruitment activities. The Digital Communications, Marketing and Content Manager ensures alignment of the university’s narratives and brand consistency across all external digital and print materials, in collaboration with the with the Executive Director of External Relations and key stakeholders.

 

Managing a multidisciplinary team of content creators, the Digital Communications, Marketing and Content Manager implements operational practices that encourage innovative strategic content creation and enable informed measurement of content performance for continual improvement towards meeting business objectives. CEU’s Communications, Marketing and Outreach Office is responsible for building and maintaining the university’s reputation as a highly ranked, uniquely international, research-intensive institution dedicated to the principles of an open society. The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director of External Relations and collaborate closely with the Student Recruitment Office and other internal stakeholders.

  

Your duties and responsibilities:  

  • Supervise and lead a team of social media, marketing, web, visual and digital content creators
  • Plan, develop, and implement online and offline content and marketing strategies
  • Develop and maintain the communications calendar, maintaining a smooth flow of content preparation and creation to get the most out of each piece of content 
  • Manage relations with marketing partners
  • Manage CEU’s marketing campaigns for student recruitment 
  • Manage the production of CEU’s annual student recruitment publications, as well as outreach material, including brochures, posters, interest cards, calls for applications, fact sheets
  • Oversee the delivery of marketing reports and market analyses 
  • Write, edit, and proofread copy for online and printed content
  • Track and report on agreed KPIs for assessing campaign effectiveness and supporting future planning  
  • Provide branding and marketing support for in-house and external events
  • Review CEU websites, leading and coordinating efforts to ensure consistent branding and high-quality, timely content production
  • Manage the Communications, Marketing and Outreach Office budget  

 

Your skills and qualifications: 

  • A minimum of five to seven years’ experience in managing digital communications and marketing
  • Project management experience in culturally diverse organizations
  • Experience in managing communications and marketing at global and regional levels
  • Experience in leading and developing a team
  • Superb English-language writing and editing skills (C2 level)
  • Tech-savvy, with excellent visual communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in coordinating multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid work experience in social media and digital content marketing
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office  
  • Adept at developing timely, relevant, and relatable content, in line with current affairs

We offer a competitive salary starting from gross 62,000 EUR/year. A higher salary is possible if warranted by the candidate’s working experience.
