The Alumni Relations Office serves Central European University’s (CEU) community of more than 18,000 graduates around the world. Its mission: to engage alumni, and current students, in a lifelong and mutually beneficial relationship with each other and their alma mater.

The Alumni Relations office offers a full range of benefits and services for alumni, hosts events in Budapest and around the world, engages a network of local alumni chapters on five continents, provides exciting volunteering opportunities , supports CEU’s future via the Alumni Campaign , administers the CEU Alumni Scholarship , and more.

CEU is seeking applications for the position of Alumni Records Coordinator for the Alumni Relations Office at its Budapest Campus.

This position provides support of alumni engagement strategies by aiming for high data validity, accuracy, completeness and uniformity. Furthermore, the Alumni Records Coordinator fosters collaboration with other departments to develop and implement standardized data related policies and create uniform alumni data entry and reporting standards and practices. The Alumni Records Coordinator is also responsible for processing services and benefits requests and financial coordination for the Alumni Relations Office. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing 18,000 alumni data records in CRM (Raisers' Edge)
  • Ensuring alumni data validity, accuracy, completeness and uniformity 
  • Collaborating with alumni relations team members and relevant departments to develop and implement standardized alumni data related policies across CEU
  • Working closely with service providers and Budget and Finance Office on contracts,  invoices, expense requests and reimbursements for the office
  • Providing and promoting relevant services and benefits which offer value and strengthen the connection between alumni and CEU.  
  • Establishing and building relationship with service and discount providers

 Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One to three years of related data management experience
  • Accuracy
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines
  • Good analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyse data and metrics and generate visual reports
  • Database management experience is a plus
  • Ability to provide training to colleagues about data management in clear and professional manner
  • Ability to innovatively solve problems and make recommendations for data strategies
  • Experience in alumni relations and/or donor relations is a plus
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with colleagues on the team, throughout the University, alumni, students and other constituents
  • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information
  • A calm, outgoing, stable personal style

 Compensation:

Commensurate with experience. CEU does offer a competitive salary, as well as a dynamic and international working environment.

The initial contract is for one year with the possibility of renewal.
