Our faculty members engage in a broad range of research across the discipline, from basic human neuroscience to educational policy, as these different areas of research inform and complement each other.  This unique research environment enables the integration of different disciplinary areas into cohesive and empirically sound research programmes that are translated into measurable societal impact.  We also support open science and strive for high integrity, trustworthy, replicable and reproducible research. We value diverse research methodologies. Further information about the Department can be obtained at https://psychology.hku.hk/.

The appointee is expected to maintain an active research programme (including securing external research grants), and be responsible for teaching courses and supervising students at both graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as contributing to the administration of academic programmes.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract- end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.

The University only accepts online application for the above post.  Applicants should apply online at the University’s career site (https://jobs.hku.hk) and upload (1) an up-to-date CV, (2) a research statement, (3) a teaching statement, and (4) state the contact information of three referees on the online application form.
