We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Education and Languages:

Teaching Assistant (Early Childhood Education) (E&L) (Ref: 24000KR)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Liaising with early childhood education organizations and conduct teaching practice supervision;
  • Providing professional teacher training activities and support;
  • Supporting programme promotion and course coordination; and
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the Dean of E&L or his/her delegate.


Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A recognized bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (ECE), or a recognized PGDE(ECE), or CE(ECE) with a recognized bachelor’s degree, or equivalent;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team;
  • Good organization and communication skills;
  • Good command of Cantonese;
  • Skills in graphic design and proficiency in handling social media platforms would be highly desirable; and
  • Teaching experiences at kindergartens and/or working experiences at tertiary institutes would be an advantage.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
