The Department has vacancy for the post of Research Assistant Professor / Postdoctoral Fellow. The appointee is expected to contribute to high quality teaching.

General Requirements

Applicants should have a PhD degree in Accounting or related discipline in recent years. The appointee is expected to contribute to 1) external research grants application, 2) publication in high quality academic journals collaborating with colleagues of the Department, and 3) teaching and administrative duties.

Appointment

The conditions of appointments will be competitive. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointees. For Research Assistant Professor, appointments will normally be made on an initial contract of up to three years, which, subject to review and mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointments with possibility of consideration for substantiation. For Postdoctoral Fellow, appointments will normally be made on contract basis for two years. Experienced Postdoctoral Fellow may carry a functional title of Research Assistant Professor.
