Duties and Responsibilities
- Work on projects related to determining timescales of magmatic processes by combining in situ microanalysis and diffusion modelling
Requirements
- A Ph.D. degree in Earth Sciences or a related discipline
- Strong background in one or more of the following areas: volatiles in magmatism, diffusion chronometry, in situ microanalysis (especially using secondary ion mass spectrometry)
- an excellent command of written and spoken English
- the ability to work independently and in a team
- self-motivated and responsible
What We Offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 2 years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
