[Appointment period: each for twelve months]

Duties

The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Enhancing the ideal L2 Chinese self through multimodal reading intervention and its impact on engagement, acculturation, and reading comprehension”.  They will be required to:

(a)    assist in project management and material development;

(b)    assist in data collection and basic data analysis;

(c)    assist in preparing progress/final reports of the project and academic papers; and

(d)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a Master's degree or a good honours degree in Language Education, Educational Psychology, or other related fields, with research/relevant work experience;

(b)    a good understanding of the execution of projects in the setting of educational institutions;

(c)    a good command of English and Chinese, preferably with an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or above; and

(d)    good interpersonal and communication skills.

Conditions of Service

For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. 

For part-time appointment(s), the remuneration rates are $181 per hour for the post of Research Associate and $125 per hour for the post of Research Assistant.
