Part-time Research Associate

[Appointment period: five months]

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project – “Development and pilot test of a Chinese medicine diabetes education program”.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    upload, maintain and update content of the project mobile application;

(b)    liaise with the application developer/vendor and resolve issues arising during the development, testing and maintenance process;

(c)    assist in checking the accuracy and consistency of educational content after each upload or update;

(d)    assist in daily administrative tasks related to the mobile application; and

(e)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should: 

(a)    have a master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, Health Informatics or other related disciplines or a good honours degree in one of the said disciplines with at least three years of research/relevant work experience;

(b)    have experience in computer/IT applications for teaching and learning, and/or mobile application content management;

(c)    have experience in liaising with software developers or vendors on application development, content upload, maintenance and updates;

(d)    have good computer literacy including MS Office applications and Chinese word processing;

(e)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese;

(f)     have good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills; and

(g)    demonstrate initiative and be conscientious and responsible.

Conditions of Service

The remuneration rate is HK$181.
