We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Education and Languages:

Assistant Professor / Senior Lecturer / Lecturer (Mathematics and IT Education) (E&L)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following

  • planning, developing, coordinating and delivering courses (including face-to-face and distance learning modes) in related disciplines at the undergraduate, taught and research postgraduate levels;
  • undertaking/engaging in programme administration/development and scholarly activities; and
  • participating in School/University activities and administration.


Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • an earned doctoral degree in an area related to education with relevant experience in school teaching and / or tertiary education;
  • a record of research and peer-reviewed publications, and / or involvement in professional and community services & activities;
  • a good knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and IT/STEAM Education in local schools;
  • ability to contribute to more than one area in Education (Mathematics Education, IT in Education, STEAM Education, IT for language learning and teaching, Early Childhood Education, curriculum studies and educational management) will be an advantage; and 
  • a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese).

Candidates without a doctorate or with less experience may be considered at the level of Senior Lecturer or Lecturer.
