Project Manager (Capacity Building Administration) (at the rank of Assistant Lecturer /Lecturer) in the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project under the Faculty of Social Sciences

We now invite applications for the captioned post(s). The appointee will work in the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project (JCECC) under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Project, started in 2016, aimed at improving the quality of End-of-Life Care (EoLC), enhancing the capacity of service providers, as well as raising public awareness on life and death issues. Duties and Responsibilities

  • develop, deliver, coordinate and evaluate professional training programmes and public education activities on End-of-Life Care (EoLC)
  • supervise other training officers
  • perform other administrative and/or research duties as assigned 

Requirements

  • possess a good Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Counseling or a related discipline and at least 3 years’ experience in conducting end-of-life care (EoLC) or elderly care professional training for medical or social work sector and/or related public education in Hong Kong
  • having a strong reputation in psycho-social and communication aspects of EoLC and knowledge on curriculum design and e-learning on EoLC would be an advantage
  • having a strong medical or social work network will be an advantage
  • excellent written and spoken proficiency in Chinese/Cantonese and English is essential
  • applicants with less experience or qualifications may be considered for appointment as Assistant Lecturer.

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
