About us

BIOMIC AUTh is a Research Facility in the Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation of the Aristotle University Thessaloniki. BIOMIC_AUTh is an inter-disciplinary team active on metabolomics, genetics, food authenticity and traceability. Central research themes include biomarker discovery (disease diagnosis-prognosis-therapeutic intervention), pre-clinical drug research and agro-food R&D. BIOMIC_AUTh Laboratory team brings together 18 researchers with strong expertise in bioanalysis and application in life sciences.

About the project

BIOMIC_AUTh is coordinating FoodOmicsGR Research Infrastructure (FoodOmicsGR_RI). FoodOmicsGR_RI aims to provide a focal point for the realization and initiation of R&D efforts from research institutes, universities and the private sector to address a number of RIS3 priorities for the agri-food sector. FoodOmicsGR_RI also aims to provide the basis for synergistic efforts and ideas that will generate new knowledge and new research aims. The Research Infrastructure aims to integrate research and development (R&D) and services, and play central role for the realization of different R&D activities.
