Offer Description
About the Role:
The American College of Greece Research Center (ACG-RC) is seeking a Doctoral Candidate (DC) to join the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network on “Integrated Sensing and communications for future vehicuLAr systems a Network of Doctoral Students,” known as ISLANDS . The chosen researcher will work on the topic of resource allocation for automotive setups of multiple vehicles equipped with Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) devices. In particular, they will study the problem of resource allocation in automotive setups of multiple vehicles equipped with ISAC devices. The frequency (spectrum), power, antenna (spatial degrees of freedom) and time resources will be allocated, aiming at the optimization of relevant performance metrics. Another important part of the work will be the performance analysis of the developed schemes via both analytical tools such as stochastic geometry and realistic system-level simulations.
The DC will be hosted on the premises of ACG-RC in Athens, Greece, taking advantage of the excellent facilities of the Smart Wireless Future Technologies Research Lab . In parallel, the chosen DC will enroll as a PhD student at the University of Cyprus. During the 3 years of the position’s term, the DC is also expected to perform two research visits (secondments), 3 months each, at Nokia in Germany and the University of Cyprus. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the development and analysis of cutting-edge resource allocation techniques for joint radar-communications, which constitute one of the most promising future wireless technologies.
