Offer Description

Development of documented indicators and tools for the evaluation and the optimization of the welfare of aquaculture fish during the on-growing on sea cages. Participation in the following activities: - Validation of welfare indicators by Delphi expert assessment, - Quality-of-Life scaling system for fish welfare, - Operational welfare assessment, - Writing of reports.

Skills/Qualifications

Required Qualifications: - Master Degree on Environmental Biology. - PhD on Biology. - At least 3 years of proven work and/or research activity (after the acquisition of the bachelor degree) on the job subject. - At least 10 publications as first author on peer-review journals with impact factor regarding fish physiology during the last five years (2018-2023). - At least 5 scientific presentations regarding fish physiology at international conferences. - Accreditation on lab animal handling (functions A, B, C and D).

Specific Requirements

Additional Qualifications: - Proven knowledge / experience on the welfare of Mediterranean farm fish species. - Proven knowledge on computer use; (a) word processing, (b) spreadsheets and (c) information and communication.

Selection process

Candidates who meet at least the requested qualifications of the call, will be in invited to an interview, which will take place upon notification by the Evaluation Committee
