Job Description
As a Writing Fellow, you will work one-on-one with TUM students to improve their academic writing in English. Students bring to their appointments up to 5 pages of a text they are currently writing. It might be a section of a thesis or article, an essay or homework assignment, a CV or cover letter, or any other English text. You will work through the text together with them, identifying their recurrent mistakes and offering strategies for improving their English writing in the long term. Fellows work approximately 6 hours per week on the TUM campuses in Munich, Garching, or Weihenstephan.

Your Profile
• bachelor’s or master’s student at TUM, without a previous master’s degree
• native English speaker (or native-level fluency)
• ability to work for at least one academic year
• exceptional experience & skill in academic writing and/or editing
• solid knowledge of English grammar and style
• a strong desire to improve your own writing & editing skills
• familiarity with foreign languages is a plus

• earn wages based on the studentische or wissenschaftliche Hilfskräfte pay scale
• significantly improve your own writing and editing in English
• receive training from and collaborate with the Center staff
• gain professional experience of great value for future employers
