University Professorship (m/f/d) in Educational Psychology

 


The Position

The professorship to be filled will play a key role in shaping and advancing psychological teaching and learning research at Leibniz University in research and teaching. In the area of teaching, a broad participation in training in the BA Special Education, MA Teaching Training for Grammar Schools, MA Special Needs Education and MA Educational Sciences programmes is expected. In terms of content, the basics of educational psychology should be represented in the full breadth of the subject, but future graduates should also be prepared for the psychological characteristics of more recent digitalised teaching-learning scenarios. It is also expected to participate in methodological training and to work closely with the Leibniz School of Education (LSE).

In research, the professorship should investigate teaching-learning processes in school contexts (especially in secondary education) and be interested in one or more areas of students' motivational, cognitive and/or self-regulatory abilities. In addition, psychological processes in the digital learning space should be part of the research.

Your Profile

  • High-ranking publications in international peer-reviewed journals
  • Success in and experience with the acquisition of competitive third-party funding and/or collaborative projects
  • Research focus in teaching-learning research with special consideration of the requirements of learning in a digitalised world
  • Use of current empirical quantitative methods or mixed-method research approaches
  • Ability to connect to existing research at the Institute of Psychology, the faculty and the Leibniz University Hannoveer
  • Ability to teach in English
