The Heart Research Center at the University of Göttingen (HRCG) is an internationally renowned institution dedicated to understanding of cardiac biology in health and disease. An interdisciplinary environment offers excellent international expertise in multiple scientific areas. The HRCG partners with the Max-Planck-Institutes for Multidisciplinary Sciences and Dynamics and Self-Organization, as well as the German Center for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK).

Our Research Group at the HRCG studies the cell biology of cardiovascular disease mechanisms, utilizing patient-specific, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and site-specific genome editing, as well as biochemical and systems biology approaches. We assess fundamental cellular and molecular principles in cardiac cell and tissue function.


Job description

  • Culture, maintenance and specific lineage differentiation of human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)
  • Molecular biology experimental work
  • Work on scientific research projects
  • Lab organization and management
  • Communication with service providers and companies


Your Profile

  • We seek a highly motivated Technical Assistant or Research Associate - BTA / CTA / MT / MTA (f/m/d) - with strong interest in scientific research
  • A high working schedule flexibility and experience with mammalian tissue culture is mandatory
  • An excellent practical experience and knowledge of protein biochemistry, cell and molecular biology techniques, as well as fluent command of the English language is mandatory
  • Outstanding skills in organization and computer administration, as well as in team work and communication are additional required qualifications. German language skills are helpful
