At the University of Greifswald’s Institute of Psychology, Chair of Health and Prevention, in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, there is a job vacancy, subject to budgetary regulations, for next possible appointment, for a full-time
Teaching and Research Assistant.
The fixed-term contract is for a period of 2 years. There is the possibility of further employment. Payment will be made according to pay group 13 TV-L Wissenschaft.
Job Description:
- Providing scientific services in research and teaching
- Independent organisation and teaching of classes in the training of psychologists
- Contribution towards the chair’s research and supervision of bachelor’s and master’s dissertations
- Contribution of methodical knowledge to various projects
The position on offer is aimed at academics wishing to complete a habilitation, doctorate or equivalent qualification. Tasks will therefore be transferred that are conducive to the preparation of such qualifications.
Job Requirements:
- Successful completion of an advanced university degree in psychology, social sciences or health sciences (Diplom or master's degree) with above-average grades
- In-depth skills in research or statistical methods (i.e. ambulatory assessment, multivariate analyses)
- In-depth knowledge of psychometric concepts in the health and social sciences
- Strong interest in scientific development, especially with regard to methodological knowledge, teaching didactics and research networking
Desirable:
- Participation in health and healthcare research projects
- Acquisition of own project funds and assumption of management tasks
- Knowledge of research approaches or methods in one of the following topics: patient-centred outcomes, health literacy or health inequalities; or knowledge of psychosocial health research in respect to chronic conditions, or specific target groups such as children and adolescents
- International research experience
- Interdisciplinary work (e.g. with medicine)
- Several years of experience in university teaching
