Now we are looking for a: (Senior) Robotics Simulation Architect for Cloud Robotics (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Gain insight into the research and technology trends in robotics simulation domain worldwide and plan research directions; identify technical challenges; setup technical roadmap; propose innovative and disruptive products and solutions
  • Lead the research, design, and implementation of critical technologies for Huawei’s simulation platform of for cloud robotics
  • Explore Drive collaboration resources in with industry and academia, build good long-term cooperation relationships, and carry out innovative cooperation projects with top Universities and industrial partners

Requirements

  • PhD in robotics, simulation, computational engineering science, computer graphics, computer science, physics, information technologies or other related disciplines
  • Experience with simulation, 3D rendering and physics engines
  • Familiarity with popular robotics simulation software (e.g. Gazebo, Webot, MuJoCo, IsaacSim …)
  • Deep knowledge in at least one of the following domains in robotics
  • Robotics theory (control theory, sensor technology, kinematic, dynamics, system identification)
    Sim2real model transfer
  • SLAM and navigation
  • AI and Machine Learning, reinforcement learning for robotics control
  • Knowledge representation and processing
  • ROS and Open Robotics ecosystems
  • Familiarity with cloud technology stacks and cloud native design paradigm
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Publications on top robotics conference or journals is a plus
  • Direct experience in leading robotics R&D projects is a plus
