The UMG interdisciplinary cardiovascular imaging group (Diagnostic and interventional radiology, Dept. of Cardiology) is seeking a

  • Specialization: medical or veterinarian doctor, scientist (biology or pharmacy). The vacancy will be filled as soon as possible.
  • Limitation: limited until March 31st, 2025

Our Institute is a DRG-certified center for cardiac imaging and our research partners include the Herzzentrum Göttingen and the DZHK. The principal investigator of our group holds level-3 certificates for cardiac MRI and cardiac CT (DGK). Level-2 qualification can be acquired.

Successful applicants will work on a DZHK-funded project involving real-time interventional cardiac MRI imaging.

Your tasks:

  • Planning and conducting experiments
  • Manual and software-assisted post-processing of acquired imaging and histological data
  • Organization of experimental settings
  • Critical analysis of experiments, writing papers, communication with collaborators

Your profile:

  • Education: medicine, veterinarian medicine, biology or pharmacy
  • Experience or interest in imaging, post-processing and histologic methodology
  • Interest in working as part of an international and interdisciplinary research group containing physicists, biologists, medical doctors and technical assistants
