We are seeking a highly creative and motivated post-doctoral fellow to join the Neuromuscular Diagnostics Team at the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences. Our research examines the computational principles of sensorimotor control. Specifically, how the sensorimotor system learns to control the complex dynamics of the body when interacting with the world. We use custom-built robotic interfaces, virtual reality and computational modelling to examine the control system. See our webpage at: www.nd.sg.tum.de

Tasks:
- Carry out research projects and publish journal articles. This research will focus on modelling the human neuromuscular system, and adapting the model according the data from wearable devices; part of a TUM innovation network examining wearables for neurorehabilitation.
- Help to train and supervise PhD students and other researchers that use the laboratory.
- Contribute to the teaching of the faculty and to grant applications.

Requirements:
- PhD in an area relevant to this research (e.g. Engineering, Physiology, Biomechanics).
- Experience in machine learning, computational modelling, or similar desired.
- Programming skills, computational skills, robotics, experience with electromyography, experience with psychophysics methods and/or other relevant experimental skills are an advantage.
- A strong, relevant publication record.
- English writing and oral presentation skills
- Highly motivated, meticulous individual with a passion for research.

We offer:
- A competitive salary (99% TV-L E13, actual pay depends on experience).
- Initial contract for one year. Funding is available for up to four years.
