At the Faculty of Education and Social Sciences, a temporary part-time position (3 years) is available as of the next possible date as
Research Associate (div./f./m.)
Pay group 13 TV-L, part time 50 %
The research group Developmental Psychology in Education (Prof. Dr. Christopher Osterhaus) focuses on research related to the cognitive development of children and adolescents. Special attention is given to the scientific thinking and socio-cognitive development of children in elementary school age. The position holder is expected to actively participate in the research projects of the research group. Pursuing and submitting a dissertation in the university’s Ph.D. program is explicitly desired and will be supported.
Your tasks
- Independent scientific qualification with the aim of a doctorate in the research area of developmental psychology
- Planning and conducting empirical research studies within the working area of the group
- Facilitating the preparation of grant proposals and the dissemination of research findings through publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Teaching of up to 2 credit hours per week

Your profile
- University degree at master’s level in psychology or a related field, ideally with a focus on the topics of study of the research group
- A solid knowledge of quantitative research methods, proficiency in English at a professional level, as well as an interest in the research focus areas of the Developmental Psychology Research Group
- Ideally a good working knowledge of German or the willingness to acquire it
