The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und ‑prüfung (BAM) is a materials research organization in Germany. Our mission is to ensure safety in technology and chemistry. Your responsibilities include:

Processing of the research project "Condition assessment and monitoring for the evaluation of the technical service life of structural facilities of interim storage facilities for high-level radioactive waste", in particular work packages 2 ("Selection of suitable monitoring and measurement techniques") and 4 ("Data management, interfaces to BIM and digital twin").

Your qualifications:

  • Completed scientific university studies (diploma/​master's degree) in the field of electrical engineering, measurement technology, computer engineering, physical engineering or similar
  • Very good written and spoken German language skills
  • Good English language skills
  • Practical experience in the installation and operation of measurement technology
  • Experience with at least one programming language for measurement technology control and data evaluation
  • Knowledge of non-destructive testing and structural monitoring is an advantage
  • Minimum level of physical fitness (construction site work)
  • Willingness to travel for several days
  • Good communication and information skills, goal-oriented and structured way of working, initiative/​willingness and ability to get involved, ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate as well as conceptual, strategic and innovative thinking skills
