The Department of Animal Sciences at the Georg-August-University Göttingen is - subject to the final approval of the grant –seeking to fill the position as
Research Assistant (f/m/d)
with regular working hours of currently 25.87 hrs./wk. This is a fixed-term position for the period of 36 months. The salary will be based on 13 TV-L (65%). Expected start date is 01.08.2023.
The position will focus on the preservation and use of leaves from agroforestry systems. This includes, among other aspects, conducting laboratory-scale ensiling experiments to preserve leaves and the implementation of feeding studies with goats.
Requirements are a MSc. or equivalent degree in agricultural sciences, agricultural biology or veterinary medicine, possibly also in related fields (biology or forestry sciences). We expect a high degree of personal commitment and the ability to work in a team, as well as basic knowledge in the field of animal nutrition and feed science. Laboratory experience and good written and spoken English language skills are advantageous, as well as first publication experience. The position is intended to serve the qualification of young academics and offers the opportunity to enroll into a PhD program.
