The Department Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells is looking for

Project Manager (f/m/d) for Commercialization of Perovskite-based Multijunction Solar Cells

Your Tasks

  • You will create commercial value together with a dedicated team in the field of perovskite PV on the basis of existing and upcoming research at HZB.
  • You will be responsible for a work package on business development in this team. You will develop and manage it?s operations as well as disseminate your work.
  • You will create a business strategy and plan for an industrial perovskite production concept through technology scouting and commercial analysis.
  • You will network with industrial firms seeking cooperation partners, specialized tool suppliers, potential customers or investors. You will assess their needs, wants, pain points and desired gains.
  • You will pitch at technology transfer competitions, acquire potential customers and investors (government and private) for perovskite PV and negotiate the conditions of the funding.
  • You will analyze markets and identify new opportunities for value creation and growth in a complex and rapidly expanding global PV industry.

Your Profile

  • Completed university or engineering degree in materials science, chemistry, physics, engineering, or a related field
  • More than 5 years of experience in photovoltaic production on a commercial scale
  • Expertise in the design of pilot lines, sourcing of specialized tools and associated cost calculations
  • Ideally, experience in AI/machine learning or automation
  • Experience in managing teams of greater than 10 people in the semiconductor, IT, PV or related industry
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to connect to diverse professional communities and empathy in leadership style
