Offer Description

What to expect:

  • You will represent the above subject area and teach on the department’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes.
  • You will confidently deliver courses in German and English and actively promote research in clinical social work.
  • Complex interdisciplinary issues will require both your academic and professional expertise.
  • We also expect you to continuously develop the degree programmes we offer and to get involved in academic continuing education.
  • You will be comfortable delivering courses using digital technology and supporting the department in its self-governance.

Your background:

  • Your expertise is based on a degree in social work or a similar discipline, complemented by an above-average doctorate.
  • You also have relevant professional experience in health assistance and ideally some experience of teaching and research.
  • If you do not yet have the required five years of professional experience, or if you have not yet completed your PhD, we can offer you potential solutions.
  • You are familiar with the concepts of clinical social work and the tasks and areas of work involved (e.g. in community psychiatry) and have sound organisational knowledge in this field.
  • Your interests focus on the conceptual (further) development of the area of work with all its new challenges (Federal Participation Act – BTHG, reform of Book IX of the German Social Code – SGB, health-oriented social work, etc.).
  • Expertise in applying for external funding and an extensive network of practice partners round off your profile.

We offer you:

  • A permanent W2 professorship on civil servant conditions will enable you to make a valuable contribution to teaching, research and university management.
  • Our family-friendly conditions will support you and enable you to achieve a good work-life balance.
  • Our extensive portfolio of professional teaching development will enable you to develop your skills on an ongoing basis.
  • You can look forward to an exciting challenge as part of our team, with dedicated colleagues to support you from the very beginning.
