Postdoctoral scientist (f/m/d) Plant Nutrition and Physiology

The Molecular Plant Nutrition research group investigates the transport and metabolism of minerals and their role in physiological and morphological adaptations of plants to stress or agricultural production conditions.

We are looking for a

Postdoctoral Scientist (f/m/d)

for a research project with focus on microbial, genetic and metabolic adaption of various wheat accessions to drought conditions.

Your tasks:

  • GWAS analysis under ambient and drought conditions
  • Microbiome analysis under ambient and drought conditions
  • Metabolite profiling under ambient and drought conditions
  • Proteomic profiling under ambient and drought conditions
  • Bioinformatic analysis of all obtained data

Your qualifications and skills:

  • You have a PhD degree in plant nutrition, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, agriculture or any related field.
  • You have extensive practical experiences in all related above fields including GWAS, proteomics, metabolomics, microbiome analysis and bioinformatics.
  • You own solid English skills, as they are a prerequisite for effective work in our multicultural environment.
  • You have good communication skills and will to collaborate with researchers from different disciplines.
  • You have problem solving skills.
