The Department of Geosciences of the University Tübingen is internationally known for its research in the environmental sciences. In this context, the Division of Geo-Biosphere Interactions at the Geo and Environmental Center (GUZ) is announcing a position of a Postdoctoral researcher (f/m/d) (TV-L E13, 100%) starting earliest 1.8.2022 for 3 years. After a successful mid-term evaluation, the position will be extended for an additional 3 years. The position, an "Academic Assistant" in German system, offers the option for habilitation, which we explicitly encourage.

Innovative research projects aim to couple advanced molecular biological techniques with biogeochemical (radionuclide and stable isotope-based) approaches to reveal the impact of microorganisms, interacting with their biotic and abiotic environment, on ecosystem element fluxes.
